Congratulations to Brooke Nicolls, Area 3 Writing Project, Grant Union High School for being honored by the Carlston Family Foundation with the 2009-2010 Outstanding Teachers of America Award.
The Carlston Family Foundation Outstanding Teacher of America Awards are given annually to five-six California secondary teachers who have been nominated by former students, currently enrolled in four year institutions of higher education, or who have recently graduated and are beginning their professional careers. The students who nominate former teachers credit these exemplary educators with providing them the skills and the personal guidance and support to be successful academically and personally. These students claim they could not have made it through high school, matriculate to higher education or achieved academically without the help of their teachers.
