Teachers of the Year

Congratulations to three of CWP's finest:

  • Dawn Imamoto, second-grade teacher at Bryte Elementary School in West Sacramento and Zenaida Rosario, third-grade teacher at La Mirada Elementary in San Ysidro for being selected as two of the five California Teachers of the Year for 2004.

  • Rochelle Ramay, a high school teacher at Corning High School for being chosen as one of the seven runners-up.

Congratulations to the Great Valley Writing Project

Congratulations to the Great Valley Writing Project at CSU Stanislaus for being awarded the Golden Apple Award by the San Joaquin Council CTA/NEA Coordinating Council as the organization that made “significant contributions to education in San Joaquin County” during 2003-2004.


Congratulations to Amylynn Robinson and 
                                    her students

Congratulations to Amylynn Robinson and her students. Thirteen of nineteen students in Amylynn Robinson’s 4th/5th grade class were selected to have their poems published in Young People’s Poetry Anthology, 2004. Amylynn, a teacher-consultant with the Central Los Angeles Writing Project, teaches at Melvin Elementary School in Reseda, which is in the San Fernando Valley and in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
